Health care laws are complex and frequently change. Affinity Home Care Services is determined to operate in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. It has taken the following measures to ensure lawful activity in the organization.
Code of Ethics and Compliance
In consultation with its professional advisers, the company has designed and implemented a formal Code of Ethics and Compliance. The purpose of this code is to ensure ethical and lawful decision making and activities in the Company. All employees of the company are required to read this document, understand it and sign their name on it confirming their support of it.
Education of all workers
All employees of the company are required to undergo an initial education on the company’s Code of Ethics and Compliance and on-going training to ensure their knowledge and understanding are relevant to the issues confronting this organization and its clients and vendors.
Hotline
The company has installed a toll-free hotline on which employees and others can call to report breaches or threats of breaches to the company’s Code of Ethics and Compliance. A specially-trained compliance lawyers reviews the content of the reports and takes the appropriate corrective measures.
Monitoring
Affinity Home Care Services has a team of professionals that monitor the company’s performance with the Code of Ethics and Compliance. They conduct scheduled and surprise audits and report on the performance of the organization and its people. When needed, they make recommendations for needed improvements.
